Mrs. Ruth M. Howell, 77, of Ipava, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 1985, at her home.
She was born Aug. 22, 1907, near Ipava, the daughter of Alvin and Rosa Mae (Haney) Toland. She married Myron Howell Jan. 2, 1929, in Peoria. He survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Rose Alice Trimble of Monmouth, Janis Strode of Laddonia, Mo., Rachel Hopper of Canton and Johanna Halloran of North Palm Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Blanche Dean of Vermont.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren and two sisters.
She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church and the Kathryn Quilters of the children. She was a former Home Bureau and 4-H member and leader.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ipava United Presbyterian Church with Rev. A. R. Juterbock officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
