Mrs. Pauline R. Hinman, 77, who, with her husband, Charles, were owners of Courier Printing Co., now the Tazewell Courier, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 1975, in Methodist Medical Center in Peoria where she was admitted Nov. 3.
A resident of 300 Arnold, East Peoria, for 35 years, she was a member of First United Methodist Church; a 50-year member of Cloverleaf Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; and Fon du Lac Golden Age Club. She also was a member of American Legion, Post 2, and VFW, Post 2078, auxiliaries; East Peoria Women’s Club; and East Peoria Home Extension Unit.
She was born in Lewistown Aug. 28, 1898, a daughter of Marion and Mary Julia Burton Rutledge. She married Dwight Brown Aug. 9, 1919, in Fulton County. He died earlier. She later married Charles Hinman in Peoria. He died in 1957.
Surviving are one son, Phillip Brown of rural Chillicothe; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Hinman was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services were held on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Schmidt Memorial Chapel in East Peoria with Rev. Harvey Dibrell officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
