Jesse Hart, 88, of Route 1, Astoria, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 1975, at Memorial Complex in Springfield.
He was born in Woodland Township, Fulton County, on Oct. 1, 1886, a son of Charles and Samantha Foutch Hart. He married Mildred Shelly on Oct. 30, 1933. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Hamblin of Havana and Mrs. Eleanor Genseal of Chandlerville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
