Mrs. Fern Heaton, 56, of RR 3, Macomb, died about 5 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 1975, at her home.
She was born Oct. 14, 1918, near Vermont, the daughter of Elmer and Edith Mae Chapman Mershon. She resided most of her life in Eldorado and Scotland Townships, and had resided on the same farm since 1938. On June 19, 1937, she married Aaron Heaton, who survives.
[Also surviving are] five children, Gerald Heaton of RR 2, Macomb, Marvin Heaton of Adair, Dwight Heaton of Vermont, Mrs. Martha McBride of RR 4, Macomb, and Jerry Heaton, at home; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Forest Mershon of Blandinsville and Dayle Mershon of LaHarpe. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in the Clugston Chapel in Macomb with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
