Theodore Hamblin Dies In Hospital

Theodore R. Hamblin, 63, of Astoria, died late Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 21 at Mason District Hospital in Havana following a brief illness.

Mr. Hamblin was born June 29, 1902 in Mason City, the son of William D. and Myrtle Lee Bitner Hamblin. He married Rhoda Jockish Feb. 8, 1924. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Richard of Astoria, Thomas of Havana, and David of Memphis, Tenn.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Krohe of Virginia, Ill., Mrs. Rosemary Shirley of Havana, and Mrs. Linda Danner of Astoria; 24 grandchildren; three brothers, Willis of Easton, Miles of Delavan and Lyman of Tallula, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Eula Hall of Topeka and Mrs. Lela Bagby of Mason City. A son, a brother and two sisters died previously.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Woodland Church of the Brethren with Rev. Galen Gerdes officiating. Burial was in Walkers Grove Cemetery at Easton.
