Loren O. Hammond, 76, Ipava, a retired farmer, died early Sunday at his home in Ipava.
Mr. Hammond was born June 19, 1889, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, the son of Robert and Mary Hall Hammond. He married Eleanor J. Harwick on Feb. 4, 1911; she died Oct. 3, 1958. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by a son, Gail Hammond, Ipava; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Plate, Burbank, Calif.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kelly, Ipava, and Mrs. Julia Pease, Canton; a brother, Charles Hammond, Hinsdale.
An infant child, five sisters and three brothers died previously.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. The Rev. W. R. Giffin conducted the services.
