Raymond C. Gossage, 33, of Browning, died unexpectedly at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville where he had been admitted a short time earlier.
He was born Oct. 12, 1952, in Bambury, England, a son of Paul W. and Iris Meadows Gossage. He was married to Joyce Pierson on Dec. 13, 1974, in Browning. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, of Rushville; three children, Blenda, Katherine and Raymond Gossage, all at home; two brothers, David Gossage of Astoria and Dean Gossage of Rushville; and one sister, Rosemarie Gossage of Rushville; a grandmother, Mrs. Amelia Gossage of Rushville.
His father preceded him in death.
Mr. Gossage was a member of the Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church and was employed as a truck driver for Clanin Trucking Co. of Astoria.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
