Homer Gerard Dies June 11

Homer M. Gerard, 75, of Morton Healthcare Center, died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 1985 in St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 13, 1909, in Taylorville, the son of Edward and Jessie (Cook) Gerard. He married Mary Little in 1932. She died in 1950.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Edith Wardell and Mrs. Alma Dobbs, both of Table Grove; one brother, Walter Gerard of Carson City, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. William (Elsie) Ward of Pekin.

He was also preceded in death by four stepsons, three stepdaughters, two brothers and one sister.

He worked in construction for many years in the Peoria area.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home, Peoria, with Rev. Russell E. Luedtke officiating. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery.
