VeteranR. J. Guilliams Of Peoria Dies

Raymond J. Guilliams, 68, of 1005 S. Laramie, Peoria, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, 1985, in St. Francis Medical Center, where he was admitted April 6.

Born Sept. 18, 1916, in Ipava, he was a son of Peter and Martha Shirly Guilliams. He married Marie Schaiper Jan. 29, 1972, in Bloomington. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Harold P. “Butch” Guilliams of Edwards; one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (RaeJeane) Musgrave of Elmwood; two sisters, Dorothy Brumzick and Jennie Ricca, both of Peoria; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One grandson, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

He worked as a boilermaker at Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery until retiring in 1978, and was an Army veteran of World War II.

He also was a member of VFW Post 8662, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Izaak Walton League and Peoria Sportsman’s Club.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with Rev. James Sandy officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.
