Holly L. Green Of Peoria DiesHolly L. Green Of Peoria DiesHolly L. Green, Jr., 63, of Peoria, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, Apr. 5, 1985, in St. Francis Medical Center, where he was admitted Thursday.
He was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Billings, Mont., the son of Holly L. and Lola (Watkins) Green Sr. He married Helen McQuire Feb. 24, 1945, in Peoria Heights. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Judy) Lyons of Peoria; two grandchildren; one brother, John W. Green of Tullahoma, Tenn.; and one sister, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Horwedel of Vermont.
He was preceded in death by two infant sisters.
He was a pipe cutter for F. Meyer Bros. Pipe Co. many years, later working as a custodian at Woodrow Wilson Grade School nine years, retiring in 1974. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Wilton Mortuary. Burial was in Lawnridge Cemetery at Speer.
