Sister Dies

Mrs. Viola Clemens of Astoria received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Spica Grigsby, 83, of Bryant.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton.

Spica Grigsby Dies At Home

Mrs. Spica (Dutch) Grigsby, 83, of Bryant, died at 2:10 p.m. Monday, Mar. 4, 1985, in her home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1901, in Waterford Township, the daughter of John and Carrie (Allen) Parsley. She first married George Bennett and he preceded her in death. She then married William Grigsby, and he also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Dwayne Bennett of Lewistown; two daughters, Denise Bennett and Virginia McLaren, both of Bryant; several stepchildren; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Clemens of Astoria and Mrs. Frances Bennett of Lewistown.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert, one brother and one sister.

She was employed by Blue Bell Overall Factories in Abingdon and Canton for 25 years and by International Harvester Co., for five years, retiring in 1946. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bryant and the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary in Canton.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oaks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ithel Kenser officiating. Burial was in Maryville Cemetery, Bryant.
