David Gossage, 78, of Browning township died Thursday morning at the Culbertson Memorial hospital in Rushville.
Mr. Gossage was born February 27, 1876 in Browning township, a son of James and Susan Sherill Gossage. His wife preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Harvey and Samuel Gossage, Mrs. Jesse O’Neal and Mrs. Ruth Bryant, all of Browning, and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Crafton of Beardstown and Mrs. Mae White of Litchfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Hardy Funeral home, Rushville, with the Rev. Wayne Sill, pastor of the Free Methodist church, officiating. Interment in Gillette cemetery, south of Rushville.
