Mrs. Mabel Geer, 65, wife of Roy Geer of Browning, died Friday night at Schmitt Memorial hospital in Beardstown.
She entered the hospital Jan. 5th.
Mrs. Geer was born July 18, 1888, in Browning township, a daughter of Henry and Emma Lau Haffner. She was married to Roy Geer, who survives.
Mrs. Geer’s entire life was spent in the vicinity of Browning, where she was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Browning Methodist church, having affiliated with the church in early life.
She was preceded in death by her son, and three sisters and one brother.
She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ida Haffner of Rushville, two brothers, Ray Haffner of Beardstown and Fred Haffner of Ft. Scott, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Browning, the Rev. Rodney Miller officiating. Burial was in Browning cemetery.
