William E. Forbes, 62, of Auburn, Calif., died Sept. 13, 1985, at his home.
A native of Alta, he was born Oct. 8, 1922, the son of George W. and Agnes (Neilson) Forbes.
Survivors include his wife, Eldura C. Forbes at home; two sons, Williams Forbes, Jr. and John L. Forbes; four daughters, Eldura M. Edwards, Cork A. Castello, Renee S. Egan and Pam L. Archimede, all of California; seven grandchildren; six brothers, Howard in Texas, Clifton in Oregon, Nelson of Vermont, Ill., Leslie of Peoria, Emory of Chillicothe and Edward of Oak Hill; and three sisters, Elsie Seipel and Emma Forbes, both of Peoria, and Sylvia Keefer of Farmington.
Services and burial were in Livermore.
