Thomas F. Flaherty, Jr., 84, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 1985, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville.
He was born July 4, 1901, in Chicago, the son of Thomas F. and Emily (Andersen) Flaherty. He married Maxine I. Etter Nov. 20, 1937 in Valparaiso, Ind. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Charles F. Flaherty of Roswell, N.M.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Johnson of Canyon Country, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
He worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 45 years. He lived in Chicago for most of his life until moving to Astoria in 1978.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Astoria Cemetery by Rev. Jim Comstock.
