Floyd Furniss Of Bushnell Dies

Floyd Furniss, 88, of Bushnell died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 1975, in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born in Browning Oct. 1, 1887, a son of Thomas and Hannah Sears Furniss. He married Myrtle Ritter Jan. 27, 1909, in Macomb. She died May 1, 1971.

Surviving are two sons, Forrest of Rock Island and Roy of Mexico, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Calhoun and Mrs. Rosalee Lorton, both of Bushnell, and Mrs. June Honts of Geneseo; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one brother, Taylor of Table Grove; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Batterton of Astoria and Mrs. Sadie Hamm of Lewistown.

A son, three daughters, and six brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in the Bushnell United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Simpkins officiating. Burial was in the Bushnell Cemetery.
