She was born May 27, 1939, in McDonough County, the daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie Robeson Boyd. She married Jerry Ewing on Sept. 28, 1958, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Eric (and Stephanie) Ewing; one daughter, Terri Ewing; one brother, Dick Boyd; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one nephew; one niece; and several great nephews and nieces.
She graduated from Rushville High School in 1957 and from Quincy Beauty Academy in 1958.
She worked side by side with her husband Jerry raising corn, beans and Angus cattle. She belonged to the First United Methodist Women and Rushville First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday at Rushville First United Methodist Church with Pastor Stacy Tomich officiating. Burial followed at Rushville City Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
