She was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Rushville, the daughter of Harold and Lila Pratt Greer. She married Clinton G. Esslinger on April 28, 1946, in Macomb. He preceded her in death in January, 1992.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Surviving are one son, Greg Esslinger of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Jackie (and Joe) Smith of Lacon and Georgiann (and Dean) Hood of Ipava; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker, church custodian and meat wrapper for Crossland Locker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen with burial to follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. at the church on Wednesday. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
