EDWARD “DOLL” EMERICK

VeteranEdward Emerick Dies At Age 62

Edward “Doll” Emerick, 62, of Rushville, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 6, 1923 in Schuyler County, a son of Edward and Menta Howard Emerick.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Pryor and Mrs. Vivian Gillenwater, both of Rushville, Irene Emerick of Peoria, and Mrs. Mary Gillenwater of Colchester; and one brother, Harlan, of Rushville.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a custodian for Schuyler County schools.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Art Gormley officiating. Burial was in Palm Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Schuyler County Cancer Society.
