Funeral services for Roy O. Eddington, 55, of Browning were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Church of Christ in Browning with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Browning Cemetery.
Mr. Eddington died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 1975, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
Born on May 23, 1920, in Montgomery County. Mr. Eddington was the son of Oliver and Myrtle Toland Eddington.
He had resided in McDonough and Schuyler County most of his life, with the exception of 20 years he spent in the U.S. Navy. He retired as Chief Petty Officer. For the past nine years he had resided in Browning, where he operated the Eddington Boat Marina.
Survivors include one son, Larry Paul of Beardstown; three grandchildren; two brothers, William of Littleton and Thomas Wayne of Beardstown; and one sister, Mrs. Harrison (Lilly Mae) Daniels of Littleton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eddington was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil and one sister, Mrs. Frances Maguire.
