Services for Mrs. Pauline D. Effland, 93 of Adair, were held last Friday at the Community Church, with burial in Harris Cemetery. Mrs. Effland died Tuesday, March 4 at 3:30 p.m. at the Abingdon Nursing Home, where she had resided for several years.
She was born in Table Grove on May 22, 1881 and married Charles E. Effland at Table Grove, June 6, 1907. He died in 1946.
She was a licensed practical nurse, having retired 18 years ago, a member and past president of the Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse Association, a member of the Table Grove Community Church and Laurel Grove Chapter, O.E.S.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Martin of Roseville and Mrs. Katherine Schaer of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Russell Dilworth of Adair, and one great-grandson.
