Cyrus Elgin died suddenly at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Hibbs Saturday about noon. He was found dead in the bathroom of the Hibbs home, where he had been a resident for the past five months, previously coming from Danville.
Inquiry into the cause of death was made by Dr. Raymond Mercey, Fulton county coroner.
Mr. Elgin was born Aug. 23, 1873, a son of Frank and Rebecca Holday Elgin. Most of his life was spent around Astoria, Collin and Danville. He never married. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Gracie Rauch of Los Angeles, Calif.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Shawgo Memorial home, conducted by Rev. E. E. Catlin. Burial was in the Astoria cemetery.
