Clyde Darst, 78, of 216 W. Ann, Knoxville, died at 12:20 a.m. Nov. 20, 1985, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.
He was born Nov. 18, 1907, in Harris Township in Fulton County, the son of William F. and Lydia (Miller) Darst. He married Mildred Morrison Nov. 3, 1932, in Steele, N.D. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Garnett Cassell of Eustis, Fla.; one son, Rayford Darst of Wataga; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, Harry of Macomb, Lyle of Louisiana, Mo., and Keith of Iowa; and a half sister, Mrs. Grace Sprinkle of Vermont.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two infant sisters.
He attended Shoefly School in Harris Township. He farmed all his life in Harris Township, retiring in 1974. He moved to Knoxville in September of this year. He was a member of Brock Church in Smithfield.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. Rodney Ruberg officiating. Burial was in Baughman Cemetery near Smithfield.
