Freeman Derry of Flossmoor, former resident of Astoria, died Thursday evening, July 24, 1975.
Sisters surviving include Mrs. Grace Bainter, Mrs. Mardille Foster and Mrs. Isla Duffy of Macomb, Mrs. Frances Rowland of Peoria, and Mrs. John Plowman of Michigan.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Tews Funeral Home in Homewood.

Funeral services were held July 28, 1975 at the Tews Funeral Home, in Homewood at 11 a.m. for Freeman Wayne Derry. Burial was in Sky Line Memorial Park at Monee.
He was born near Astoria on Oct. 29, 1916, a son of Louis and Nellie Zettle Derry.
Mr. Derry attended the Astoria schools and graduated with the class of 1934. He left Astoria for Chicago and most of his married life he lived in Roseland, until four years ago when he moved to Flossmoor.
He was employed by the Joy’s Potato Chips Co. for 28 years and was branch manager in Flossmoor.
He was a member of the University Landmark Lodge N. 422 AF & AM Scottish Rite Bodies, Medinah Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. and Roseland Lodge No. 1962 L.O.O.M.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Judy) Pusatire of Oak Forest; three sons, James Derry, Dr. Allen Derry of Denmark and Robert Derry of Chicago; seven granddaughters and five sisters.
His parents, one brother, and two sisters are deceased.
Mr. Derry has several cousins and friends in the Astoria area.
