Aged Astoria Resident Dies

John (Duley) Danner Passed Away Saturday Night

John (Duley) Danner, a well known, aged resident, died at his home in the southeast part of town Saturday night, following an illness of about four weeks duration.

Mr. Danner was born in York County, Pa., May 10, 1858, a son of Jonas and Polly Danner. He came to Astoria in 1884. On August 19, 1890, he was married Katie Danner, who with a daughter, Mrs. Flossie Abbring of Chicago, survive. Also a sister in Hanover, Pa.

Mr. Danner following the occupation of painting here for several years. At the time of his death, he was aged 84 years, 7 months and 9 days.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial was made in the Woodland cemetery.
