She was born July 6, 1931, in Canton, a daughter of Martin Angle and Mary Wilkerson Negley. She married Travis Henry Cox on Sept. 30, 1949. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcella; one son-in-law, Laurence; two sisters, Martha Burns and Margaret Self; three infant granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter, Erin.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth Lee (and Rebecca) Cox; one daughter, Sandra Marie (and Kenneth) Riddle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She graduated from VIT High School in 1949.
She worked as a receptionist, sales clerk and postal clerk from which she retired. She was active in Vermont Christian Church, Vermont Auxiliary and PPO and the Vermont Breakfast Club.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vermont Christian Church. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Vermont Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
