DELBERT D. CONNER

Delbert Conner Of Ipava Dies

Delbert D. Conner, 86, of Ipava died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 5, 1988 at his home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1902, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a son of Robert and Emaline (Shores) Conner. He married Mabel M. Hammond Aug. 30, 1923, in Galesburg. She died Nov. 22, 1986.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Betty) Warner of Monticello and Mrs. Tom (Sue) Hayes of Ipava; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Forrest Conner of Havana.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

He delivered fuel for the FS Co. in Ipava a number of years before retiring. He also was a retired farmer and former VIT School District bus driver. He was a member of the Ipava United Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of the Ipava Masonic Lodge 213, AF&AM.

Funeral services were to be at 11 a.m. this morning at the Ipava United Presbyterian Church with Rev. James McMillan officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.

Masonic services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava.

Memorials may be made to his church or to the Ipava Rescue Squad.
