Bob Collins, 59, of Lewistown, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 1985, at his home.
He was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Fulton County, the son of Charles and Ollie (Fouts) Collins. He married Mary Grzanich June 19, 1948, in Canton. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Andy of Dallas, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Boles of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Collins of Frederick.
He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown and was a member of Operating Engineers Local. He worked 14 years as a feed salesman for Farmers Service in Fulton County. He then worked at the Cuba Mine of the United Electric Coal Company for four years and at the Liverpool pumping station of the Metropolitan Sanitary District until his health forced him to retire. He was also a member of Local 399.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Robert O’Connor officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Heart Association or Lewistown St. Mary’s Catholic Church building fund.
