Mrs. Jean Curtis Dies In Kentucky

Mrs. Jean Curtis, 60, of Somerset, Ky., died Thursday, June 27, 1985, in Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset.

She was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Naples, Ill., a daughter of Jesse H. and Leanne Winningham Bauser. She first married William E. Icenogle in August of 1940. She later married Clyde M. Curtis Feb. 15, 1964, in Blandinsville. He survives.

Surviving also are six children, Eldon Icenogle of Hamilton, Dennis Icenogle of Blandinsville, Gary Icenogle of Carthage, Debra Royer of Mount Sterling, Mrs. Larry (Barbara) Kelly of Bowen and Mrs. Hank (Shelly) Petrey of Somerset; two stepchildren; 23 grandchildren; and four sisters.

She had resided in Alton, Vermont, Blandinsville and from 1967-1977 in Carthage where she and her husband operated the Prairie Winds Restaurant. She moved to Somerset in 1977.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday in Oak Hill Baptist Church in Somerset. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Glade City Cemetery with Clugston’s of Blandinsville in charge of arrangements.
