Mrs. Ida LaFern Cox, 79, of 405 Baxter Court, Canton, died at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1975, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Nov. 15, 1896, in Canton, a daughter of Fred and Anna Lair Cook. She married Alfred H. Cox on April 11, 1915, in Canton. He survives.
Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Brown, Mrs. Helen Monette, and Mrs. Virginia Clark, all of Canton, Mrs. Margaret Strode of Turlock, Calif., Mrs. Charlotte Sexton and Mrs. Marilyn Pierce, both of Havana; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cleer and Mrs. Bernice Wiese, both of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Cox was a member of the First Christian Church of Canton and the Gleaners Class at the Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Dale Harrison and Rev. Michael Huson officiating. Burial was in the White Chapel Memory Gardens at Canton.
