Ralph E. Cassel Of Bader Dies

Ralph E. Cassel, 68, of Bader, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1975, at Beardstown Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Cassel was born in Minnesota, May 23, 1907, the son of Milton and Jennie Brehm Cassel. He married Hildreth McLaren at Jacksonville, May 15, 1937. She survives.

He was a member of the Bader Christian Church. He was a retired farmer.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lois Smith of Bushnell; three sons, Keith of Raleigh, N.C., Dale of Pekin and David of Astoria; four grandchildren; two brothers, John of Astoria and Sam of Jacksonville and a sister, Mrs. Mary Baum of Canton.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. James Shirley officiating. Burial was in the Bader Cemetery.
