Mrs. Gertrude B. Cox, 77, of East Peoria, formerly of Vermont, died at 8:20 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 1975 at her home.
Mrs. Cox was born in Astoria on Dec. 20, 1898, a daughter of Samuel and Anna Brown Cook. She married Robert D. Cox, who is deceased.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Peoria Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Caleb of Henderson, N.C.; and two brothers, Charles Cook of Vermont and Denzil Cook of Canton. One sister and two sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Vermont with Rev. Wilbur Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Vermont Cemetery.
