Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Chambers, 81, of Lewistown, who died Tuesday, Mar. 4, 1975, were held at 1:30 p.m. at Henry Memorial Home with H. R. Schuetz officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born April 13, 1893, at Marietta, a daughter of James and Orena Franklin White. She was married to Jesse Chambers on March 24, 1910, at Lewistown. He died March 16, 1958.
Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Jesse “Jute” Chambers, both of Lewistown; two daughters, Mrs. Louise LaFary of Lewistown and Mrs. Ruby Dean of Rome; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Russell, Virgil, and Dale White, all of Lewistown; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Randall and Mrs. Lola Miles, both of Lewistown, Mrs. Estella Hulvey of Table Grove and Mrs. Vera Cook in Illinois.
Three children, six brothers, a sister and a grandson died earlier.
