Mrs. Gladys I. Curless, 64, Rt. 5, Canton, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday in a Peoria Hospital.
Mrs. Curless was a member of the First Christian Church in Canton. She was born July 5, 1901, in Kerton Township, the daughter of Amos and Minnie (Martin) Howe. She was married Dec. 20, 1919, at Monroe City, Mo., to Claude Fay Curless, who died Aug. 19, 1953.
Surviving are a son, Howard Curless, Moline; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Jones, Canton; five grandchildren; two brothers, Alex Howe, Havana, and Grafton Howe, Bushnell; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Raker, Quincy, and Mrs. Frances Shields, Canton.
Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Murphy Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Don Berry and Rev. Bill Hunter officiating. Burial was in the White Chapel Memory Garden.
