Pauline BrownPauline Brown, 104, of Cuba, formerly of Ipava, died at 12:36 p.m. Nov. 1, 2024, at Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Center in Cuba.

She was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Ipava, a daughter of Andrew Roscoe and Elsie Margaret Cluney Carroll. She married Boyd Devere Brown on April 18, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2003.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Batley; one granddaughter, Kimberly Batley; one sister, Christina Shaw; two nephews; and one great-niece.

Surviving are one daughter, Delta Kay Brown of Ipava; one grandson, Brett Brown of Ipava; two nephews, Norman (and Darby) Brown and Pete (and Judy) Brown, both of Davenport, Iowa; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.

She was the town librarian in Ipava for several years. She also helped her husband Boyd run the farm.

She was a member of Ipava Christian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Brant Reed officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Ipava Cemetery.
