Ronald BartlettRonald Barnes Bartlett, 72, of Rushville died at 8:48 a.m. Oct. 14, 2024, in Beardstown.

He was born Jan. 24, 1952, in Rushville, a son of Ansel and Barbara Jean Barnes Bartlett. He married Marsha Alice Moreland on Feb. 2, 1974, in Rushville.She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Amanda Sue (and Scott) Bartlett Stoll; one son, Ross (and Emily) Bartlett; three brothers, Randy Bartlett, Rick Bartlett and Rob (and Crystal) Bartlett; and three grandchildren.

He graduated from Rushville High School and attended Spoon River College. He was employed by International Harvester in Canton, Sky Labs, Bartlett Construction and Bartlow Brothers Packing Plant, all in Rushville. He retired in 2015 from the job of a USDA consumer safety inspector working at Cargill in Beardstown.

He was a member of Rushville First Presbyterian Church and later the Rushville Church of Christ. He participated in the Walk to Emmaus Retreat. He belonged to Rushville Masonic Lodge #9 AF and AM where he was Worshipful Master in 1994 Quincy Consistory AASR, Macomb Commandery #56, ANZAR Shrine of Springfield and Rushville Jaycees. He also was a founding member of Limbhangers Chapter of the Wild Turkey Federation.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rushville First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jason Triplett officiating. Inurnment will follow at Hughes Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. Informal attire is requested. A Masonic service will follow the visitation.

Memorials may be made to Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Cass-Schuyler Hospice or Schuyler County Community Foundation.
