Donald BeairdDonald BeairdDonald E. Beaird, 90, of Vermont, formerly of Lewistown, died at 1:07 p.m. Oct. 6, 2024, at Allure of Knox County nursing home.
He was born May 13, 1934, in Bernadotte, a son of Frank and Zella Hoyle Beaird. He married Lorena Churchill in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald Beaird of Vermont and Rick Beaird of Lewistown; one granddaughter, Jen Jacobs of Bloomington; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He was a pipe fitter at Caterpillar retiring with 35 years of service. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the UAW Local 974.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with military services provided by the US Navy, Lewistown VFW Post and Lewistown American Legion Post. Visitation will be held Friday, one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
