She was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Beardstown, a daughter of Anastasio and Vicenta Cansino. She married Thomas Brewer on Nov. 27, 1954. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Thomas “Jamie” Brewer; two brothers, Sebastian Cansino and Leo Cansino, six sisters, Jessie Nila, Louise Schroll, Ann Cruz, Roberta Baer, Virginia Hall and Esther Knight; and one grandson, Nathan Ryan.
Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer (and John) Stambaugh; one son, Clinton (and Valeria) Brewer; three sisters, Bett Jacquart, Rita Cansino and Rosalie Vincent; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker, a volunteer, a devoted Christian, a caregiver and a talented seamstress.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St Alexius Catholic Church of Beardstown. The family will meet friends from 9 a.m. until service time. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
