Mrs. Florence Boyd Of Browning Dies

Mrs. Florence Roosa McElroy Boyd, 94, of Browning, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, June 16, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Oct. 6, 1890, at Astoria, the daughter of North and Emma Jane Geisleman McElroy. She was married to Henry M. Boyd on June 6, 1906 at Browning. He preceded her in death in February of 1951.

Survivors include three sons, Lewis Boyd, Guy Boyd and Burl Boyd, all of Browning; seven daughters, Mrs. Edna Mae Shilling, Mrs. Hilda Jennings, Mrs. Nelda Lane, Mrs. Edith O’Dell, all of Browning; Mrs. Estel Vaughn of Albany, Ore., Mrs. Beulah Milham of Crestview, Fla., and Glenna Geisler of Good Hope; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great, great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. this afternoon at the United Methodist Church in Browning with Collis Trone officiating. Burial will be in the Browning Cemetery.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
