Henry O. Busby Of Vermont Dies

Henry O. Busby, 74, of Vermont, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 1975, at the Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Jan. 13, 1901 in Rushville, the son of Joseph and Mary Jennings Busby. He married Mary Peterman Feb. 19, 1970. She preceded him in death. In 1972 he married Evelyn V. Escio in Oklahoma. She survives.

Mr. Busby was a retired farmer and a member of the Rushville Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Morris Busby of Browning and Donald Busby of Lewistown; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Bucher of Astoria; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Earline Umphreyes of Macomb; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Harlam Busby of Canton; and six sisters, Mrs. Hazel Ward of Macomb, Mrs. Ada Walton and Mrs. Nelle Lemke of Canton, Mrs. Gladys Peirson of Heavener, Okla., Mrs. Josephine Rhodes of Galesburg and Mrs. Bessie Rose of Keokuk, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one daughter.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. John Derry officiating. Burial was in the Christian Neck Cemetery.
