Ghlee Brown, 69, of RR 1, Adair, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, April 7, 1975, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born Dec. 8, 1906, in Vermont, the son of Nelson and Lilie Mae Derry Brown. He married Vera Councelman on Feb. 19, 1935, in Astoria, who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Sherold Brown of Bushnell, Marcella Heaton of Adair, Zelpha Lester of Blandinsville, Harriet Lester, Ketra Jackson and Alcinda Dickey of Macomb; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Russell Brown of Astoria; and one sister, Pauline Chenoweth of Blandinsville.
He was preceded in death by four sons, eight brothers and one sister.
Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. this afternoon at Sargent’s Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Earl Clark officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
