Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Burgard, 95, former resident of the Ipava and Vermont areas, died Thursday afternoon at Rockford. She had been in poor health for several years.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with the Rev. W. R. Griffin officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 11, 1870 at Ipava, a daughter of Oliver and Sarah Farquhar Wood. She was married to J. A. Burgard on Nov. 7, 1900. He died Oct. 27, 1943.
She is survived by two children, Mrs. Elizabeth Corbridge, Rockford, and J. R. Burgard of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Susanna F. Wood of Ipava.
One brother, three sisters and one grandson died previously.
She was a member of the Ipava Presbyterian Church and the PEO Sisterhood in Vermont.
