Evelyn A. Akers, 68, of Rushville died at 5:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 19, 1917 in Schuyler County, a daughter of Wesley and Myrtle Rittenhouse Paisley. She married Glen Akers on May 18, 1946 in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Ann) Maitland of Denver, Colo.; one grandson; four sisters, Mrs. Dale (Mary Lou) Phillips and Mrs. Tom (Norma) Rowland, both of Rushville, Mrs. Don (Minnie) Stephens of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Marvin (Vera) Crockett of Norwalk, Calif.; two brothers, Kenneth Paisley of El Monte, Calif., and Jack Paisley of Morgan Hill, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her mother; one sister, Doris Logan; and one brother, Lyle Paisley.
She lived in Schuyler County her entire life. She served as deputy county clerk and county clerk of Schuyler County for two years. She was a member of the Schuyler Unit 4 American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Roby Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Seller officiating. Burial was in Rushville Cemetery.
Memorial services were conducted by the American Legion Auxiliary.
