William Stephens
William Tracy Stephens, 79, of Macomb died Dec. 7, 2025, at his home.
He was born June 22, 1946, in Rushville, the son of Harold “Bub” Stephens and Donna Dace Stephens. He married Diana Stansfield on May 12, 1968, in Jacksonville. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Michael Stephens (and Dana) of Washington, Ill.; one daughter, Jennifer Stephens of McAllen, Texas; two sisters, Nancy Stephens of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Julie Murray (and Susan) of Rolla, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and paternal grandparents, Carter and Madeline Settles Stephens and maternal grandparents Daniel and Edna Walker Dace.
He graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1964. He graduated from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard. He was a chiropractor and practiced in Macomb from 1971 to 2007.
He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He completed his basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., and was assigned to Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and spent a year at West Point as a Xray Technician.
He was a member of the Macomb Elks and American Legion.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Presbyterian Church with Mr. Ken Runkle officiating. Burial will be at Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
