Judy Ward
She was born Aug. 30, 1943, in Macomb, a daughter of the late Leonard Lee Lanham and Virginia Irene Armstrong Lanham Jones. She married David C. Ward on Jan. 17, 1960, in Rushville. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Dwayne (and Dirk Yuill) Ward, Lynn Mourning, Danny (and Shelly) Ward and Donnie Ward; one sister, Connie (and Dick) Miller of Rushville; one half brother, Lee Lanham; one half sister, Cheryl Sutton; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Mikesell; one half brother, Timothy Lanham; and one grandson, Dustin Carl Ward. She attended Rushville schools with the class of 1961. She first helped run David C. Ward Trucking. She also worked at Kozy Family Restaurant in the mid 1980s and in 1990 started working for the Schuyler County Clerk’s office full time for 15 years and part-time for 19 years, retiring in 2024. She was a member of the Mayflower Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, War of 1812 Society and the Schuyler Jail Museum. Memorial services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Burial followed at Rushville City Cemetery.
