Ronald Rayburn
He was born Oct. 21, 1950, in Springfield, a son of Earl and Dorothy Kastendick Rayburn. On Nov. 16, 1973, he married Julia Westlake in Bader. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael Rayburn of Le Roy and Scott (and Judy) Rayburn of Wade, N.C.; two brothers, Dennis (and Cheryl) Rayburn and Randy (and Vickie) Rayburn; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of Oasis Bethany Church of God in Eastover, N.C., and previously belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bath and Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. after a dedicated 33-year career. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 5, at Hurley Funeral Home in Rushville with Jeremy Westlake officiating. Ronald E. Rayburn, 75, of Eastover, N.C., formerly of Morton and Havana, died at his home at 9:11 a.m. Sept. 25, 2026.
