Rosie HarveyThelma Rosalie “Rosie” Harvey, 94, of East Moline died Aug. 17, 2025, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Moline.

She was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Astoria, a daughter of John and Mary Burgard Baum. She married Billy “Bill” G. Harvey on June 26, 1949, in Moline. He preceded her in death.

She also was preceded in death by 10 siblings.

Surviving are her children, Donna J. (and Charles) Fox of East Moline, James M. (and Debbie) Harvey of Odessa, Mo., and Randall S. (and Robin) Harvey of Cedar Park, Texas; one sister, Judith Ann Kellogg; one brother, Robert (and JoAnn) Baum; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great- and great-great-great-grandchildren.

She worked her way up from the breakfast/lunch counter at Woolworths to Chief Financial Officer and part owner of Contracting Corporation of Illinois (CCI). She and her husband were members of the Methodist NOMADS. She traveled internationally to Haiti and Bolivia on various mission trips.

The funeral service was held Aug. 15 at Christ United Methodist Church. Burial was at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Van Hoe Funeral Home in East Moline was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the global mission fund through Christ United Methodist Church.
