Gerald “Jerry” Baum
He was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Bryant, a son of Jay and Myrtle Schuck Baum. He married Sandra Hayes on June 8, 1958, in Bryant. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2022. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Junior Baum; and two sisters, Ruth Lidwell and Irene Baum. He worked for 30 years at International Harvester in Canton, retiring in 1984. He later worked for Wheelers Truck Garage. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. A graveside service was held Friday, Sept. 12, at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Fulton County Humane Society or Wesley United Methodist Church.
