 Leland Marshall
 Leland “Lee” Marshall, 96, of Palm Desert, Calif., died July 7, 2026.
He was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Macomb, the son of Deane and Ruth Graham Marshall. In 1953, he married Norma Power of Clayton. She preceded him in death.
He also was preceded in death by one sister, Ruthe Hare.
Surviving are five nieces, Jamie Hare, Kim Mareth, Jodi Hare-Paynter, Cindy Roe and Janet Horvath; two nephews, Steve Simpson and Guy Power; and many grand nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Ipava High School he attended Monmouth College, graduating in 1951. After graduating from college in 1951, he was inducted into the United States Army, commissioned a 2nd Lt., and was attached to a training command at Camp Atterbury, Ind. He was discharged in 1953. In 1957, he and Norma moved to California where he accepted a position with an aerospace company as Quality Assurance Director. He later held positions as Vice-President of Programs and Vice-President on International marketing. He retired in 2000.
He served on Ironwood Country Club’s board, as well as several committees.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Ipava Cemetery with Pastor Don Long Jr. officiating. Military services will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Ipava American Legion. Masonic services will be provided by the Ipava Masonic Lodge. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
