 James LaMaster
 James LeRoy LaMaster, 53, of Beardstown died Sept. 15, 2026, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1973, in Beardstown, a son of Marion “LeRoy” LaMaster and Beatrice Faye Nave Stinson.
Surviving are one daughter, Tristan Kirkham of Macomb; two brothers, Marty LaMaster (and Niki) of Astoria and Dennis LaMaster (and Corrina) of Beardstown; one bonus daughter, Autumn Lounsberry of Beardstown; two bonus grandchildren; three aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He attended Beardstown schools before graduating from North Newton High School in Indiana in 1992. He joined the Army Reserves, proudly serving for four years. At age 19, he began what would become a long career at Cargill Meat Solutions, continuing there through the transition to JBS in Beardstown. He was also a member of Local Union #431.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. There will be no formal services.
Memorials may be made to the McDonough County Animal Shelter.
